Privacy –
A private estate allows your event to be the only event on the property. Secluded behind gates, your wedding guest list is controlled by you. Unlike having a wedding or special event at a hotel, venue or country club, sometimes there are two or three other weddings on the same day. When you book a private estate, your wedding is the only one onsite and you won’t have to deal with onlookers or the couple in the matching Hawaiian shirts watching your wedding from their hotel rooms.
Creativity –
Couples love the idea of having their wedding at private estate, since it allows them to express their individuality, versus being in a ballroom where there are limitations.
Costs –
A private estate wedding or special event is not for every budget. There are some couples that think that it will save money to have their event at a private estate, but the opposite is true. Every line item must be brought in such as the food, beverages, wait staff, rentals (flatware for each course, glassware (bar and tables), tables, chairs, bars, kitchen), lighting, heaters, event insurance, generator, market umbrellas to shade your guests, upscale restrooms (not the ugly construction ones), transportation and parking for your event professionals just to name a few costs.
Wedding Planner –
If you have never planned a private estate event before, we don’t recommend learning how to do it for your own wedding. A professional event planner, who has private estate experience knows what is involved in a private estate wedding and special event. Mistakes can be costly and an experienced planner knows how plan accordingly and give their clients great planning options that save time and money.
Weather –
Everyone hopes that the weather will be great on their event day, however, this is not always the case and there needs to be a weather contingency plan in place. If the weather is cold or rainy, then a tent should be added to the rental order. Tents can cost anywhere from $5000 and up.
