Five Hot Wedding Trends – When I first launched our company in 2003, couples were still playing by rules and weddings looked similar.
Now we are seeing a different kind of wedding emerge. Couples are personalizing their weddings, bridesmaids aren’t forced to wear the same dress and in the same color. Cuisine and cocktails are taking center stage and party favors are fun without being expensive.
Many of our couples are choosing DIY cookies or fudge from a family recipe or seed packets, if the couple is into nature. The party favors are usually DIY (or at least they hire someone to give it that special look), and presented with the recipe or planting instructions. xo
the days of seeing five or 10 of the same dress in the same color are long gone. Brides are offering their bridesmaids the choice to choose the style, cut and color (usually from their color palette) that looks best on the bridesmaids.
installations are becoming a big focus at weddings and special events. We have a client’s 40Th birthday party at the end of this month. Our clients will be sharing their favorite drink the “Moscow Mule” with their guests. For fun, the caterer will be serving the cocktail in a Moscow Mule copper mug – see photo pictured below.
are playful, sexy, stylish and sophisticated. We are seeing everything from floral prints to a wide range of color. Many of our clients will be wearing from one to three dresses that day. Our brides are choosing a formal dress to wear at the ceremony. The second dress is less formal and great for high-energy dancing. The third dress can be worn at the after party. This dress is usually a shorter in length and a little more flirty.
having a wedding or special event at a private estate offers privacy and individualism that only an estate wedding can offer. Hotels and country clubs are beautiful venues, however, a private estate or mansion guarantees that your wedding will be the only one on-site that day.
Wishing you health, happiness and a wonderful day!
